Stalybridge Celtic are back in action this Tuesday, facing their second test of pre-season.
Curzon Ashton are our visitors who will be making the short trip to Bower Fold.
Curzon are currently competing in the National League North and finished 18th last season, 14 points above the drop.
Managed by Mark Bradshaw, Curzon have made some impressive signings over the summer, capturing winger Brad Lynch from Colne and Jack Bannister from FC United of Manchester.
They have also signed Josh Askew on loan from Salford, Liam Davies from Southport and Callum Saunders from Nantwich.
The same fixture took place almost a year ago prior to the 2018/2019 season, with Curzon winning 3-2. Celticís goals came from former striker Matty Wolfenden. Scott Bakkor and Ross Dent are the only players who featured in that game, still at the club.
Three out of the last four meeting between the two clubs have seen draws. The sides last met competitively in 2017 in the National League North, which ended 0-0.
Stalybridgeís last win over Curzon came in 2016 in the Manchester Cup, Adam Morning scored the only goal as Stalybridge progressed through to the semi-finals.
Curzonís pre-season schedule is already well underway. Last Saturday, they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Wiganís Under 23ís side while they have also faced Cheadle Town, who they beat last Tuesday.
Stalybridge hosted an impressive Barnsley side on Wednesday and lost 5-0.
