Celtic have today announced the signing of striker Scott Bakkor.

Scott becomes the first of new manager Simon Haworth's summer signing and arrives on the back of a short spell at Skelmersdale United that saw him net nine times in 13 games (there is a fine example of what he can do on Scott's twitter page Here)

He lists Warrington, Marine, Clitheroe (not under Simon though!) and Curzon Ashton among his previous clubs, and he turns 24 on Thursday...happy Birthday!

Manager, Simon Haworth said: "I think he's a really exciting player. Scott fits ideally in what we want to do and fans will be excited by him! An all-round excellent signing."

Chairman, Rob Gorski said: "Right from the very beginning, Simon mentioned that he wanted me to back him re bringing Scott in. Scott was a key target. I'm delighted he's signed. The two of them hit it off together and both believe that after a period of transition in Scott's fledgling career, he's now ready to settle down, show his undoubted talent and give the fans the 20 a season goalscorer that they have craved for years."

Scott himself said of the move: "Simon had convinced me to come here from the first phone call. The attraction was the size and ambition of the club. Simon and I both agreed I need to start this season as I finished the last! I aim to get as many goals as possible."

Welcome to the Fold Scott!
