Our over 50's Walking Football Team, Vintage Celtic, have now set up another weekly session, to take place on the brand new 3G surface at Astley Sports Village in Dukinfield.
Vintage Celtic can now offer two weekly sessions as follows -
Day: Monday
Time: 6pm to 7pm
Venue: Active Copley, Stalybridge
Surface: Astro-Turf
Day: Wednesday
Time: 11.00am to 12noon
Venue: Astley Sports Village, Dukinfield
Surface: 3G
Both sessions are open to male and female players over 50 years of age and are �3.00 per player per session.
Along with the weekly sessions, Vintage Celtic have been busy of late, taking on Oldham Athletic FC walking football team in a friendly on the pitch at Boundary Park, losing 1-0 to a goal in the last minute, and also attending the monthly fixtures of the over 60's Greater Manchester Walking Football League.
We have teams booked in to participate in the Life Leisure walking football tournament and the Chadderton FC Competition in a few months time, so lot's of opportuinities for you to play at your leisure, in friendlies or to win the Town Hall clock!
All our sessions have a qualifield Manchester FA Walking Football Referee overseeing the game, with a strong emphasis on no running and non-contact.
