Last Monday (5th February), Celtic Chairman Rob Gorski held a fans meeting at Bower Fold to discuss some of the current topics on the clubs agenda over the upcoming 12 months. These ranged from possible ground redevelopments to the current General Manager/ Club Secretary position.

The first half was streamed live from the clubs Facebook account. Below is a summary of some of the key questions asked by fans from the Q&A session, which wasn't available on the live Facebook stream:

Q: Do you think that fans need to be more realistic? The leagues have got harder and maybe expectations are too high?
Rob: I would say that the Conference North now is a much tougher league than the Conference Premier that we were in when we were last relegated. Some teams have massive benefactors that put in a million pounds or more per year, each and every year, and others utilise their facilities to the maximum. Solihull Borough was an example of the latter. One minute they were perennial strugglers in the Conference North, next, Rover were giving them £275k a year and Solihull have never looked back. That is why we must get more revenue streams at our club.

Q: What is the biggest project to focus on first?
Rob: Unquestionably, the restaurant. I know that in the past, a fan, who was a roofer, helped us put a new roof on the restaurant. I cannot stress enough that we need a couple of roofers; electrician, carpenters and plumbers to give up some of their time and help the club out. The quicker that we can get that building back in to a marketable state, the quicker that we can get revenue coming in that will directly go straight in to the manager's budget.

Q: What's the next step and the timescale?
Rob: The next step is that Jonathan Reynolds and myself will try and arrange a meeting with Brenda Warrington over the next few weeks, following his initial discussion with her over the weekend. I'd hope this could take place within a few weeks. My plan there is to show Brenda that we have a real project here that could help the community, the council and the club. We can get external monies brought in to the borough, we can give the community much needed facilities and we can simultaneously make Celtic self-sufficient financially so that we never need to ask T.M.B.C. for any assistance ever again. The project is intended to benefit both the council and the club financially. I now await Jonathan's phone call.

Q: Have we thought about doing deals with skilled workers if we can't pay them?
Rob: Yes! We have in the past and we will again in the future. I've seen with our own fans before, and at other clubs, what a fantastic difference fans can make in times of crisis. Utopia is that our fans rally round and start to volunteer. You actually don't have to have a specialised skill. Some of the work is just moving the rubbish and fallen artificial roof etc. You don't need a trade to help!

Q: What is the position on who is replacing Michael?
Rob: Firstly Michael has done a fabulous job, I congratulate him on his promotion and I wish him well. In terms of the secretarial role, Paul Carter, who has already volunteered for about 17 jobs, has kindly said that he'll step forward that role. I thank Paul enormously and I know he'll do a tremendous job. In terms of the commercial role, it's more difficult. We are, as I've said, cash strapped at present and obviously Utopia is again that we get a retired gent or lady who has commercial capabilities and offers their skills for free. Pete Dennerley has been a hero and again offered to man the office 3 mornings a week, and we will need to assess the candidates and their credentials regarding whether we can justify the expense of a commercial manager.

Message from Rob: "There's a lot of information to process, and a lot of work to be done, but I intend to keep you all updated as and when I have any answers. Your support, as ever, has been brilliant so far this season and I ask you to continue in the same vein as we push on into the final stretch of the season…"
