Our walking football team, Vintage Celtic, have now got three new Referee's, thanks to a new walking football referee's course, delivered by the Manchester FA.
Three of our players Keith Fowler, Stuart Greaves and Stalybridge Celtic Foundation Trustee, Brian Coll, completed the two part course last Friday, at Curzon Ashton FC.
The course was spread over two three hour afternoon sessions and comprised of both practical and theory elements, delivered by Tom Elliott (Referee Development Officer) from the Manchester FA.
Having three qualified Referee's in our ranks, it allows us to provide more structure and discipline to our weekly walking football sessions, which being an affiliated club, we are playing to the Walking Football Association rules....no running and non-contact.
