A big thank you to Manager, Steve Burr and Assistant, Keith Briggs, along with the rest of the backroom staff and players for showing support for our Disability Team on the pitch at Bower Fold prior to the FC United of Manchester pre-season friendly on Tuesday night.

The disability team were hosting the FC United of Manchester team in a return friendly match, having made the trip over to Moston ten days ago, to play at Broadhurst Park.

Looking to get a win after the previous 4-1 defeat, the team did well just losing out 8-5 on the night. The match was split in to three fifteen minute matches, with again, some great football on display by both teams.

Disability players, Michael Bethwaite and Jenny Threadgold, took on the managerial roles, with Michael Adams volunteering to referee.

After the match, both teams had a team photo with their respective first teams and settled into watch the main event.

During half time we held our Player Awards presentation for the Cheshire East Ability Counts League 2016/17 season, the winners were presented with their trophies by Stalybridge Celtic Foundation Trustee, and Club Sponsor, Mary Gibbons. The winners were as follows -
